What in the world made this quiet country girl think that she could write a blog?
Great question!
Being a classic introvert, I struggle to effectively tell people what is really on my mind. I discovered in highschool that I have the ability to write, and as time has passed, I have realized that writing is the best way for me to process life. However, even more importantly, I know that I am a steward of the gifts God has given me. He has given me the ability to write, and writing is my way of sharing what He has been teaching me; so the idea for this blog was born. Maintaining it has been a different story though. As I walk through seasons and experience this crazy thing called life, my priorities shift and my bandwidth fluctuates. Sometimes I need to slow down with writing so I can meet other demands, and sometimes I need to make writing more of a priority as I process various seasons of life. But at the end of the day I am responsible to use the gifts and abilities God has given to me, in order that I may proclaim His goodness.
Please note that I am not, nor do I claim to be, a professional writer! I have no college degree to my name, and I would rather work with my hands then sit behind a desk. For those of you who note my errors, please feel free to reach out to me and let me know; I desire to do this well. At the end of the day, I am a girl who loves Jesus and I deeply desire to share with you the things He has shown me.
Just for fun, here are a few facts about me:
- Northeastern Pennsylvania is the place I call home
- I play the violin
- If I could be an animal, I would be a ladybug – they are pretty and helpful, and they can be a ‘fly on the wall’
- I am addicted to coffee
- I spend a ridiculous amount of time growing and preserving garden veggies for being a single girl
- I drive a car with a standard transmission and hand crank windows, and I absolutely love it
- I enjoy sewing, crocheting, and knitting
- My ‘ideal’ day would include coffee, a long hike through the woods, books, and a few good people
- My favorite season is winter – because what better time is there to curl up with a cup of hot coffee or tea, a blanket, and a good book?
